KPV 10mg
What is KPV?
KPV is a tripeptide composed of three amino acids: Lysine, Proline, and Valine, derived from the C-terminal end of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH), a naturally occurring hormone involved in immune regulation, inflammation control, and skin pigmentation. Unlike full α-MSH, KPV retains only the anti-inflammatory properties without affecting pigmentation, appetite, or sexual function, making it a more targeted therapeutic option.
KPV exerts its effects by modulating inflammatory signaling pathways, including NF-κB and MAPK, which are central to cytokine production and immune responses. Its small size allows it to enter cells efficiently and interact directly with intracellular pathways, reducing inflammation without broadly suppressing the immune system. Additionally, KPV can be absorbed via the PepT1 peptide transporter in the gut, enabling oral administration, though subcutaneous injection is considered the most rapid method for systemic effects.
Gut Health: Preclinical studies show KPV can reduce intestinal inflammation, potentially benefiting conditions like IBS, leaky gut, and other inflammatory bowel disorders.
Skin Health: KPV may help manage inflammatory skin conditions due to its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties.
Immune Support: It has demonstrated antimicrobial and wound-healing potential in animal and cell studies.
Safety Profile: Unlike α-MSH or Melanotan peptides, KPV does not cause tanning, appetite changes, or libido effects.
